Hey everyone!
I've been working on revamping the site recently, it's taken me about three days, and I'm really happy with how it's turned out. Most of it's the same, but a few things are slightly different.
New Features
- Radio Player: I removed the old song player on the front page and replaced it with a radio using a third-party app. Now it plays some of my favorite songs 24/7, just hit play and listen!
- Quote Book Updates: I added several new quotes to the quote book:
- A Star Wars quote from the Matthew Stover – Revenge of the Sith audiobook
- A WillNE quote about leaving high school
- A Kingsley Hill quote about Wabi-Sabi
- Blog System: The blog system is now fully working with tags and filtering!
Visual Updates
I updated the emoji row near the ADHD and Dyslexic pill, because the Scottish flag didn't render right, so I also replaced it and added bi and trans flag emojis. I also swapped in some older iOS emojis because I love the nostalgic look of them.
The background image is one of my favorite things: a classic Virgin Trains shot from around 2001. I love trains, and that image reminds me of my childhood in England, it gives me that cozy, old-photo feel.
Ideas & Future Plans
I've got lots of ideas for new features! I want to add:
- More interactive stuff (like Easter eggs or hover effects)
- A Top Trumps-style game featuring my Blahajs
- An interactive video page done in CSS/HTML
- An "Experimental Page" with a warning that things might break
I'm also trying to keep the site accessible, especially for people with dyslexia. That's why I include the Dyslexic font option - I don't personally use it much, but I want the site to be inclusive and comfortable to read for everyone. Accessibility matters a lot to me.
